Note from the Director
With a career spanning 16 years in education, I've had the privilege of immersing
myself in various fields related to pedagogy. Having pursued MA and BA at McGill
University (Canada) and North South University (Bangladesh); respectively, in the
fields of Education and Linguistics. - I've had the privilege of experiencing enriching
classes facilitated by exceptional educators.
Throughout my career, I've contributed to the educational landscape in Bangladesh
by teaching in prestigious private and public universities and conducting training
programs for different government bodies. As a recipient of the prestigious SSHRC
- The Social Sciences and Humanities Research Council of Canada award, I worked
as a graduate research assistant on several education-based research projects during
my MA program at McGill. I have also received BRAC University International Conference
Travel Grants in 2011 for presenting my academic papers at the 42nd Annual Conference
of Australian Linguistics Society (ALS) at the Australian National University, Australia
in 2011, and The International Conference on Globalization and Higher Education
(ICGHE) at Bangalore University, India in 2011.
Currently, I am serving as the director of ISDCE at SUB. Here I derive immense satisfaction
from leading diverse educational initiatives, including the planning, oversight,
and organisation of various short courses and workshops for skill development for
individuals from varied ages, backgrounds, and socio-economic classes. These courses
complement the traditional university curriculum by providing practical, hands-on
training that equips learners with industry-specific skills and knowledge. I believe
that in today's rapidly evolving job market, it's crucial to supplement academic
learning with practical skills that empower individuals to succeed professionally.
